New Trustees!

 

We are looking for 1-3 people to join our wonderful board!

Who do we need?

One

We are seeking a board member who is a Speech and Language specialists and will interview this group of applicants for one role. 

Two

We are also seeking up to an additional two board members who have experience in one or more of these areas:

1.     Someone with experience in social media / communication / marketing

2.     Someone with governance / business development expertise

3.     Someone with legal expertise

4.     Someone with fundraising experience. 

What is the commitment?

As an organisation based in London but with a national remit, we will ensure that all trustee meetings can be attended virtually, with the ambition to meet in person at least once a year. It is expected that in 2024-2025 the trustees will meet every 12-16 weeks and between meetings individual trustees will use their knowledge and expertise to support the CEO and General Manager with specific tasks.

Safeguarding

Speech Bubbles works with children so we will ask all trustees to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and provide two references to testify to their suitability to work with children. If you do not already have a DBS check, we can support successful applicants to obtain one.

Please include information as to whether you currently have or are prepared to take out a DBS check and the names and contact details of two referees.
